Dolomite Camp: The Lowdown

Extraordinary Africa > Namibia > Etosha>Dolomite Camp

Dolomite Camp is one of the only places to stay in the far west of Namibia’s Etosha National Park. The location’s ravishing, and it’s a privilege to be amongst the only people able to explore this remote area.

What’s Dolomite Camp really like?

Dolomite Camp has 20 simple thatched chalets with ensuite bathrooms, a central dining and mess area, and an infinity pool with views that stretch for miles over Etosha National Park. You have to earn your views at Dolomite- there is a little bit of a hike up to the lodge from the car park, and to reach some of the more distant rooms, but if you don’t mind a short wait, there’s also a golf buggy to help make the journey a little easier!

What can I do at Dolomite Camp?

Dolomite Camp is a base to get out and explore Etosha National Park from, either by booking on to one of the camp’s game drive vehicles, or by taking your own vehicle to one of the waterholes and watching the game come to you. Dolomite’s location is gorgeous and wonderfully unspoilt, but the game’s still getting used to visitors in this wild and relatively undiscovered area which was closed off to the public for many years, so we’ve found this works best in combination with another lodge in a different area of Etosha National Park.
