The Caprivi Strip is a world away from the dry, rugged, largely empty landscapes you’ll find elsewhere in Namibia. This strip of land stretches from the body of Namibia longingly towards Victoria Falls, and positively teems with life. Vegetation is green and lush, bustling African villages line the roadsides, and pods of hippos sing from the rivers. We’d recommend that everybody does a boat safari here, but there’s plenty more: admire the Popa Falls, count elephants in Mudumu National Park, and be prepared to be fall in love with Namibia’s magnificent birdlife at Mahango National Park.
