What’s Dulini Leadwood really like?
Obviously the main thing about going on safari is not the rooms, but really, we do need to talk about the rooms at Leadwood. There are only four, and they are utterly gorgeous- private and spaced out, with a proper sitting area, fire place, outdoor shower (as well as a normally indoor bathroom) and a plunge pool. The latter can be quite popular with thirsty ellies, so watch out for wandering trunks!
With so much space and privacy, this is really a dream choice for honeymooners or couples who want some really special and magical time together. If you can bear to drag yourself away from your room (and we would understand if you couldn’t), the double height main area is light and elegant, looking out over the river bed. Leopards visit occasionally, and meals are served here, or outside on the deck or in the boma. There is a small gym here, and Dulini can also arrange massages for you.
What can I do at Dulini Leadwood?
We have never done a bad game drive in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, and Dulini is no different. This area is known for the quality of the game viewing, and, while we do hate to use the term, it really is a brilliant place to spot all of the “Big Five”. Guests at Dulini go out on morning and afternoon game drives with their rangers, and Leadwood pride themselves on limiting guests to no more than six per vehicle, making for a really personal safari experience.
