What’s Singita Sweni Lodge really like?
Sweni is a wonderfully intimate lodge, with just seven suites. Six of the suites are one bedroomed suites which face towards the river. Theyāre large and open with huge windows that make you feel like youāre in a treehouse. The indoor-outdoor feel continues with a big deck, and a shower both inside and outside (thereās also an indoor bath). Singitaās camps are known for being very comfortable, so there is air conditioning for the hot summer months, wifi, and a minibar fridge. The seventh suite is a Pool Suite with a private pool and the option to connect to a āstandardā suite for families travelling together. Standards of food and service are high. Staff are incredibly sweet and charming and really go the extra mile- for us this is what really makes a stay here so special.
Sweni shares this huge parcel of land with its sister camp Lebombo. Between the two of them is the rather lovely spa and gym, which is shared by both camps.
What can I do at Singita Sweni Lodge?
Singita Sweni and its sister camp Lebombo share one of the few very special private concessions to be located right within the prime game viewing area of the Kruger National Park, with 33,000 acres to explore. Game drives take place morning and afternoon and as you would expect from a lodge of this calibre, there are no more than 6 guests on the game drive vehicle. In addition to drives, Sweni can also arrange walking safaris, which are a wonderful way to experience the sights and sounds of the bush up close.
