La Petite Ferme is a small lodge and restaurant on a lovely vineyard, with some of the most beautiful views we’ve seen in the Winelands.
What’s La Petite Ferme really like?
When we first arrived here your reviewer was immediately impressed by the warm welcome and friendly staff. There’s a real sense of understated luxury here- hotel standards, but on a small and personal scale. The restaurant here is a particularly popular one for visitors across the Franschhoek valley and views are stunning.
Guests stay in either one of the Manor House Suites or in the Vineyard Suites. The Manor House Suites are of varying levels of luxury (essentially the simplest is the Standard Room, then Deluxe Rooms, then Superior Rooms), but if you’d like details on the specific room we’ve asked for you, please let us know. The Manor House Suites all share a pool, so this can work quite well for families.
The Vineyard Suites have a more contemporary feel, and are much more of a hideaway. There’s a board to put across the entrance for peace and privacy, and each has a private terrace and plunge pool with views out over the vines and towards the mountains.
What can I do at La Petite Ferme?
With the beautiful winelands right on your doorstep, there are plenty of options for exploring from La Petite Ferme. However, you can enjoy wine tasting right on site- this usually runs in the morning and afternoon, tasting 4-6 wines. It’s also possible to hire mountain bikes from the hotel to explore, and La Petite Ferme can arrange for a mobile beauty spa to come to you.
