Naibor Wilderness, Mara Reserve: The Lowdown

Extraordinary Africa>Kenya>Masai Mara>Naibor Wilderness

Naibor Wilderness is the smallest of three sister camps (with Naibor being the largest), sitting next to each other in a prime location close to the banks of the Talek River.

What’s Naibor Wilderness really like?

It’s tiny, with just three double tents, and it’s often taken by families or groups travelling together who want a little privacy.  As luxury camps go, it’s comparatively low key, which is one of the things that makes this such good value for the location and intimate size. There’s a mess tent where your meals are served, and then nearby, the three tents with comfortable wrought iron beds, a little verandah to enjoy the view into the bush, and an ensuite bathroom with flushing loos and safari showers.

What can I do at Naibor Wilderness?

Of course, our guests who come to Naibor Wilderness really aren’t just here for the accommodation, but for the wildlife experience. Game viewing in the Mara rarely fails to deliver, and you’ll normally head out each morning and afternoon in search of wildlife. During wildebeest migration season (roughly late July- September) this is a spectacular location to be in. As an optional extra, we can also book a dawn hot air balloon flight over the bush for you- just let us know if you would like to include this.
