If we could, we’d make sure that everyone who went on safari got to stay in at least one tented camp.
What’s Serengeti Kati Kati Camp really like?
Kati Kati probably falls towards the more basic end of the spectrum, though it’d certainly qualify as luxury for anyone who’s ever spent a night shivering in a sleeping bag on a British campsite. There are ten basic walk-in safari tents with wrought-iron beds, a small verandah with canvas safari chairs and a simple bathroom with bucket shower to the rear. There’s also a family tent consisting of 2 interconnected tents and a shared bathroom. Meals are simple, hearty food, eaten in the communal mess tent.
What can I do at Serengeti Kati Kati Camp?
The real luxuries of Kati Kati aren’t really in the camp though- instead they’re in the experiences you have there: sundowners beside the campfire; lying in bed at night listening to the lions call; watching an elephant walk through camp on your way to breakfast; and of course, exploring the magnificent wilderness of the Serengeti.
