Batonka Guest Lodge: The Lowdown

Extraordinary Africa>Zimbabwe>Victoria Falls>Batonka Guest Lodge

Batonka is a charming, peaceful little lodge around a mile or so out of the hustle and bustle of Victoria Falls town. Though the lodge is pretty new, the style is a colonial one, with long, low whitewashed bungalows with green tin roofs.

What’s Batonka Guest Lodge really like?

This is a fairly small lodge in comparison with many at Victoria Falls, and is excellent value. Rooms are set in small blocks of 5 or 6, all at ground level and with a small balcony overlooking the pretty gardens. Rooms are all en-suite and air-conditioned.  Over in the main area of the lodge, there’s a restaurant, lounge and curio shop.

What can I do at Batonka?

Quite often our guests are staying here for a rest after a long flight, or a break after a dusty safari so the pool is a welcome bonus, and an afternoon of relaxation on your verandah would be a pleasant one. However, should you wish to head into town, the falls are a short taxi-ride or a 20-30 minute walk away. Here you’ll also find the full range of Victoria Fall’s adventure activities- from helicopter flights over the falls, to white water rafting and bungee jumping.
