Pioneers Victoria Falls is a comfortable lodge set in a peaceful residential suburb around 3 ½ kms from the Falls. The gardens are lush and neatly kept, and there are two pools tucked under the shady trees.
What’s Pioneers Vic Falls really like?
The 50 rooms of the lodge are set in a series of low-rise buildings. They have double or twin beds, and ensuite bathrooms. This is a pretty good value option so rooms are quite simple (there’s no TV in the rooms for example), but certainly comfortable and decorated in a fresh, modern style. Four of the rooms are family rooms with an extra twin bedroom adjoining the main room.
What can I do at Pioneers Vic Falls?
Pioneers is a short taxi ride from the Falls and most guests staying here would organise activities through the desk at the hotel. There’s also a TV room and a spa. Meals are served either in the indoor or outdoor dining rooms- there’s a buffet for breakfast, a light lunch service and an a la carte dinner menu.
Giving back at Pioneers Vic Falls:
Most of the power and hot water at the lodge is solar, though there are back up generators for cloudy days. Pioneers participates in litter collection around Victoria Falls Town and they try to minimise single use plastic in the lodge. For every night of your stay, a donation is made to support wildlife conservation via the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust and the Victoria Falls Anti Poaching Unit.
