Charming Maison Gallieni is a tiny guesthouse set in a smart French-style building that’s also home to the Consulate of Monaco.
What’s Maison Gallieni really like?
There are just 4 bedrooms here, so it really does have the feel of a private home. Three rooms are downstairs, and one upstairs. As you’d expect in somewhere that feels like a private home, they are all slightly different, but tastefully and neutrally decorated with a very peaceful feel. The upstairs room, Gallieni, is marginally more expensive as it’s a larger room and has a lovely view. Also upstairs is a lounge and dining room- this is where breakfast is served, and with advance notice they can do evening meals here, though this is on a strictly limited menu and served at a communal table- much like eating in someone’s dining room. More often, guests ask the evening guard to walk them through the cobbled streets to the nearby Palissandre for dinner. Outside there is a small but peaceful pool for guests who want to take a dip. In all, we’d say this is a lovely option for people who want a quiet and characterful stay in a nice part of Tana.
