Tucked behind the Rwenzoris, between Lakes Albert and Edward, Semliki is nestled up against the border with the DRC. You’re incredibly remote here, so anyone who takes a safari to Semliki is really getting away from it all. Though there is a little game here, the main draw is the vast, unfettered landscape, and the bird-watching. Head deep into the forest with your binos, or head out on a boat safari on Lake Albert in search of the mighty shoebill stork. It’s also possible to track semi-habituated chimpanzees during your stay in Semliki.
