The long Easter Holiday is the perfect time to travel a little further afield. After a long winter, it’s nice to finally feel some sun on your skin, and taking your family to South Africa is a great option for this. For an easy family Easter holiday there are numerous private villas in Cape Town and along the Garden Route. Having your own vehicle makes it easy to get around at your own pace, and there are tons of family friendly activities for children of all ages. On the other side of the country (this is especially good if Easter is late) are the gorgeous wild beaches of KwaZulu Natal, where children have miles of empty to space to charge around in, and there’re plenty of child-friendly lodges (at one we visited not too long ago, we were the only guests without any children- so it’s a great spot for youngsters to mingle.)
