Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp, Serengeti: The Lowdown

Extraordinary Africa>Tanzania>Serengeti>Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp

Nasikia’s Mobile Camp is one of a growing band of luxury mobile camps that migrates around the Serengeti, moving every few months in hope of catching the wildebeest as they move. From December to March it’s located on the rich short-grass plains near Ndutu, and from July to October in the North, near Bologonja.

What’s Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp really like?

Whether or not your stay coincides with the migration (Mother Nature after all can never be guaranteed), sleeping under canvas in the bush is an utterly magical experience. Your footprint on this fragile environment is light, so electricity in camp is solar (though charging for cameras can be arranged in mess).

There are 10 large safari tents and 1 family suite, all big enough to stand up in, with proper beds and a bathroom to the rear, with a flushing loo and bucket shower. Meals are hearty affairs, with plenty of food to keep you going throughout an exciting day, and there’s a campfire to gaze into and share your adventures with other guests.
