Hamerkop is a small private house perched on a golf estate half way between Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport.
What’s Hamerkop House really like?
With only 4 bedrooms it’s a small, peaceful oasis that works really well either as a starting point before a safari, or to wind down before you fly home. It’s possible either to book the house as a whole, or just take a bedroom. There’s a lovely pool and incredibly personal service with a real home from home feel and delicious food, much of which comes from the surrounding farms.
What can I do at Hamerkop House?
Our clients are often itching to get out to the wilds, so it’s rare to spend more than a night or two here. However, the location of Hamerkop is fantastic for visiting Arusha National Park (a much underrated gem in our book) and there are some lovely walks, and mountain biking in the area. It’s also possible to arrange canoeing on Lake Duluti, and visits to Arusha. As Hamerkop is on a golf estate, there is also golfing right on your doorstep.
