Private Islands and Luxury Beach in Mozambique

Luxury Beach Holidays in Mozambique

For seriously glam, boho beaches, look no further than Mozambique. The twin archipelagos of the Quirimbas and the Bazaruto Islands are home to some of Africa’s most discreet island retreats, glittering offshore playgrounds with incredible diving and snorkelling, spectacular deep sea fishing (we’ve caught a 50 lbs tuna here), and a low-key, laid-back vibe. On the Mozambique’s mainland shores there are miles of endless, empty beaches, creaking dhows floating on the azure waters, and ancient Swahili towns.

More than just a Mozambican beach?

The safari scene’s still in its infancy here- we often combine Mozambique with South Africa or Tanzania  (particularly for honeymooners)- but if you’re feeling intrepid and want to try something a little different we’ve got a few ideas for a safari in Mozambique tucked up our sleeves. Finally, for those in search of somewhere truly special, we’d urge travelling just that little bit further, to visit the irresistibly beautiful shores of Lake Naissa (a.k.a. Lake Malawi)- about as far from the modern world as can be, and utterly lovely.
